Michael Amir Murillo With New York Red Bulls Through Philadelphia Match

Michael Amir Murillo will stick with the New York Red Bulls through the Philadelphia Union match on Saturday at Red Bull Arena.


Following the match, Murillo will depart to be with teammate and countryman Fidel Escobar, who is already in camp with the Panamanian National Team ahead of their first World Cup appearance.


Murillo, Escobar and Panama were drawn into Group G, Panama will face Belgium, Tunisia and England at the World Cup in Russia. Their first match kicks off against Belgium on June 18 at 11 a.m. ET. They'll face England on June 24 at 8 a.m. ET and Tunisia on June 28 at 2 p.m. ET.


Panama finished in third place of CONCACAF’s World Cup Qualifying, which earned them an automatic bid to compete in the World Cup. Panama finished the group with 13 points, trailing leader Mexico (21 pts.) and Costa Rica (16 pts.).


The 2018 FIFA World Cup is set to kickoff on June 14, 2018. The final is set for July 15, 2018.


Murillo and the Red Bulls kick off against the Union on Saturday, May 26 at 7 p.m. on Military Appreciation Night. The first 15,000 fans that come to the match will receive a free koozy, courtesy of Bayer. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster or Fevo, where $3 of every ticket sold will be donated to K9s for Warriors
