New York Red Bulls II Announce 2016 Preseason Camp Roster

HARRISON, N.J. (March 11, 2016) – New York Red Bulls II head coach John Wolyniec has called 21 players into preseason camp, the club announced today.


The roster consists of seven players under USL contract, two academy players and 12 trialists.


Stefano Bonomo, Rafael Diaz, Daniel Metzger, Konrad Plewa, and Devon Williams return for their second season with Red Bulls II, while Tim Schmoll and Aaron Long, who signed with the club this year, enter their first season with NYRB II.


Red Bulls academy players Mason Deeds and Noah Powder, who played for the Red Bulls U-18 team in 2015, have also joined the NYRB II camp.


Included in the extensive list of trialists are Walter Calderon and Kyle McCord, who are both former Red Bulls academy players. Vincent Bezecourt and Cheikh M’baye join NYRB II camp after impressing in the first team’s preseason camp in Orlando, Fla.


Other trialists include Junior Flemmings, Steward Ceus, Fernando Cortez, Jeremiah Dabrowski, Pat McCann, Kevin Olaya, Aidan Tucker and Florian Valot.


New York Red Bulls II will host two preseason friendlies at the Red Bulls Training Facility in Hanover, N.J., prior to the club’s home opener on Saturday, March 26 against Toronto FC II at Red Bull Arena. On Friday, March 11, NYRB II face Bethlehem Steel FC at 12 p.m. before playing its final preseason match against Harrisburg City Islanders on Friday, March 18, at 1 p.m.


Media Note: The New York Red Bulls II coaching staff and players are available to the media during preseason via appointment. Although the club's preseason friendlies are closed to the public, media is allowed to attend NYRB II’s friendly on March 18.
