2014 AT&T Goal of the Year - Semifinal Round, Group II
HARRISON, NJ (November 14, 2014) – New York Red Bulls midfielder Dax McCarty is one of 16 finalists for the 2014 AT&T Goal of the Year award for his goal on August 2 against the New England Revolution at Red Bull Arena.

With his team down a goal and down to 10 men to the start the second half on August 2, McCarty chipped Revolution goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth in the 47th minute from just outside the 18-yard-box to level the score at 1-1.
McCarty’s chip sparked a Red Bulls comeback as Bradley Wright-Phillips went on to score the game-winner in the 63rd minute as the Red Bulls defeated New England 2-1.
The Red Bulls midfielder is up against Kamani Hill (Colorado), Lee Nguyen (New England) and Javier Morales (Real Salt Lake).
