HARRISON, N.J. (June 8, 2016) - The New York Red Bulls have loaned Gonzalo Veron and Shaun Wright-Phillips to New York Red Bulls II, the organization's USL affiliate, ahead of NYRB II's match against Harrisburg on Thursday night at Red Bull Arena.
Thursday's match kicks off at 7 p.m., with coverage available through www.NewYorkRedBulls.com/live.
Per the Right of Recall incorporated into the loan agreements of Veron and Wright-Phillips, the New York Red Bulls (MLS) retain the right to recall the player at any point during the MLS regular season, subject to MLS roster compliance guidelines.
Veron, a native of Buenos Aires, Argentina, signed with New York as a Designated Player in the Summer of 2015. He has made six appearances this season while missing time with injury, and scored one of New York's seven goals in the recent New York Derby win over NYC FC.
Wright-Phillips also first signed with New York in the Summer of 2015. Shaun is the brother of Red Bulls' forward Bradley Wright-Phillips. The two reunited with the Red Bulls for the first time since playing together for Manchester City in 2004. Shaun Wright-Phillips has made five appearances for New York this season, including one start.
