The New York Red Bulls U-23s will host Reading United AC in a midweek contest Wednesday night June 15, at 7 p.m. at the Red Bulls Training Facility.
The Red Bulls look to get back to winning form after suffering their second loss of the season last Saturday night to Jersey Express in Elizabeth, N.J. New York would take a 2-1 lead into half time with goals from Zach Knudson and Juan Sanchez but unfortunately allowed three second half goals with the match finishing in a 4-2 defeat.
The loss moved the Red Bulls to 2-2-2 on the season remaining at eight points. This will be the second of three matches against Reading United AC this season. Last time the two teams met in Reading, PA on May 28, the Red Bulls scored two late goals to draw 2-2.
Sevag Kherlopian leads the Red Bulls in goals this season with three. Midfielder Arun Basuljevic has recorded a team high two assists so far this campaign. New York as had six different goal scorers on the season.
Reading sit in first place in the Mid Atlantic Division holding a record of 4-0-1 and 13 points. Their latest match resulted in a 3-2 win against the Baltimore Bohemains last Saturday. Midfielder Paul Marie continues his impressive play this season as he netted two goals in the victory bringing his season total to five. Reading United AC hold the top spot in the Eastern Conference Power Rankings as they remain the only unbeaten team in the conference.
