HARRISON, N.J. (September 29, 2020) - New York Red Bulls II will head on the road to face North Carolina FC on September 30. The match will be played in Richmond, Virginia at City Stadium with kickoff set for 5 p.m. ET. Coverage will be available on ESPN+.
NYRB II most recently defeated Philadelphia Union II, 5-4, on Saturday, September 26. Forward Omar Sowe recorded a first half brace, while Jake Lacava added his fifth goal of the season in the win. Defenders Bo Cummins and Joe Fala recorded their first professional goals.
The last time these two sides met, North Carolina FC defeated NYRB II, 2-0, on October 5, 2019.
North Carolina FC (5-7-1, 16 pts.) are currently third in Group G. They are coming off a 2-1 victory over Birmingham Legion FC. Dre Fortune leads the club with five goals scored this season.
Following Wednesday’s match, NYRB II will return to MSU Soccer Park for their regular season finale against Hartford Athletic on Sunday, October 4.
