MONTCLAIR, N.J. (MAY 20, 2023) - New York Red Bulls II (3-2-3, 14 pts.) are set to host Inter Miami CF II (3-4-1 10 pts.) in Montclair to end longest homestand of the season for New York. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET and coverage is available on MLSNEXTPro.com.

Red Bulls II are currently sitting tied for fourth in the Eastern Conference standings with 14 points in eight matches played. Miami is two spots below, tied for fifth in the Conference with ten points.

New York is coming off a fantastic win against local rivals New York City FC II by a final score of 2-0. Elias Manoel and Frank Ssebufu tallied the goals for Red Bulls II just two minutes apart. Manoel scored from the penalty spot after Juan Gutierrez was able to draw a foul in the opponent’s box. Ssebufu was able to notch his first goal with New York off an assist from Manoel to double the lead.

Miami most recently faced Philadelphia Union II last weekend at home, having to settle for a point in a 2-2 draw. They eventually were defeated after the shootout in what was their first draw of the year, losing 4-3 in kicks from the mark.

As has been the story for New York since the beginning of the season, defending and goalkeeping have led the way. The club is coming off of their league leading fourth clean sheet of the season, and are currently second in the league in least goals allowed with eight. Alan Rutkowski earned his first professional clean sheet last week and will look to continue that success going into today’s match.

New York will look to take advantage of a Miami defense that has allowed the second most goals in the league with 19. On the other end, Red Bulls II will have to keep an eye on forwards Lucas Meek and Lorenzo D’Agostini, who have combined for five goals this season with Miami.

New York improved their home record to 2-2-1 last time out and look to add to their success at MSU Soccer Park this season.
