MATCH RECAP: New York Red Bulls II Fall 3-1 to FC Cincinnati 2 at NKU Soccer Stadium

HARRISON, N.J. (April 20, 2025) - New York Red Bulls II (3-1-1, 10 pts) fall 3-1 to FC Cincinnati 2 (1-3-1, 5 pts.) at NKU Soccer Stadium on Sunday night.

Cincinnati opened the scoring in the 14th minute, when defender Christian Schaefer played a ball over the top to forward Stefan Chirila who took a turn and placed a left footed shot into the bottom right corner.

The home side doubled the lead in the 16th minute. Midfielder Kenji Mboma Dem whipped a free kick into the box that was headed into the bottom left corner by Schaefer.

Cincinnati added a third goal in the 57th minute. Chirila chipped a ball through to Mboma Dem who took a touch passed a defender and placed a shot into the bottom left corner.

New York struck back in the 64th minute when midfielder Steven Sserwadda crossed a ball onto the six that was deflected by Schaefer into the back of the net for an own goal.

Defender Juan Gutierrez made his 50th appearance across all competitions.

Goalkeeper Aidan Stokes surpassed Rafael Diaz for fourth-most goalkeeper appearances in club history with 23.
