Omar Sowe will be entering his third season with New York Red Bulls II after joining the club in August 2019. He has been participating in the first team’s camp in Bradenton, Florida for the last couple days.
“It has been a great experience and being able to learn from players and coaches, who are at a high level of soccer is something that I have been taking advantage of,” Sowe said.
Being around the organization since 2018, Sowe has been able to interact with a lot of players who have made the jump to the first team and this preseason he has been able to take full advantage of that.
“All the guys on the team have been helping me out during and after training,” Sowe said. “They have been giving me feedback and hearing it only helps me as a player and it extends my soccer IQ.”
With the 2021 USL Championship season starting in about a month, Sowe is looking to help the team land back into the playoffs.
“I have been taught what my role on the team is as a forward,” Sowe said. “Not only as a goal scorer, but to help the team in every way.”
