In a night John Tolkin scored his first MLS goal to help the New York Red Bulls get a 1-0 win over Columbus Crew, goalkeeper Carlos Coronel made four huge saves to pick up his sixth clean sheet this season.

After New York’s fifth home win of the season, the 24-year-old goalkeeper shared his thoughts on the team’s performance.

“Yes I think that’s very important for me and for all the team [tonight’s performance],” he said. “And of course I’m very happy with my performance tonight.”

The Red Bulls have three remaining home games, which includes the New York Derby this Saturday, Chicago Fire FC, and D.C. United.

“We have been playing pretty well, but we just weren’t getting the results,” said Coronel. “Now we have four games at home, and I think playing in our stadium with our fans, we’ll give a great game [against NYCFC]. We have everything to change our situation."
