I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and lived only a few years there before coming to New Jersey. My dad and uncle are responsible for transmitting their love for football to me, so like any Uruguayan, football is a tremendous part of my life.
I’ve been able to keep close to my roots and culture throughout the years. Through that closeness came this intense passion for football. I always hoped that one day my life could revolve around the thing I was most passionate about.
I had coached before, but I felt that I had more to give and that I wanted to grow professionally. When the opportunity came along to make a jump in my coaching career, Red Bull was perfect.
Coaching has become my biggest obsession since, not because of my love for football, but because I realized that I have the ability to make kids fall in love with it too. I feel a responsibility to make players understand, learn, and love the game while helping them develop as human beings and footballers.
