Daniel Royer played in his first full game with the New York Red Bulls after returning from an injury suffered in early August.
"It’s always nice to be in the starting lineup again," Royer said. "I tried to put everything into it. I tried to put everything into it just like every other player."
Royer started and converted the New York Red Bulls' penalty kick in the 77th minute.
Head Coach Jesse Marsch said Royer looked "healthy" and "strong" on the pitch on Saturday night.
"I think team effort was amazing again," Royer said. "It’s insane what this team puts into every single game. The energy and the will is just fantastic."
Royer and the Red Bulls return to action on Saturday against the Vancouver Whitecaps with a chance to lock up a spot in the 2017 Audi MLS Cup Playoffs with a victory.
