Red Bulls to Honor Robles’ 183 Consecutive Complete Games with Permanent In-Arena Branding, Pregame Presentation
HARRISON, N.J. (May 24, 2018) – The New York Red Bulls will honor goalkeeper and captain Luis Robles on Saturday evening prior to the Red Bulls’ match against the Philadelphia Union. Robles’ MLS record of 183 consecutive, complete matches will be recognized pregame with an on-field ceremony.
The Red Bulls will unveil permanent in-arena branding that honors Robles’ streak, which began in September 2012 and ran through the Red Bulls’ 2-1 win in Colorado on May 12, 2018.
The pre-game ceremony will take place during warm ups. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to join in the recognition, which will begin shortly after 6:30 p.m. A special commemorative poster will be available upon exiting the match, with 183 posters autographed by Robles spread out amongst the gates.
Saturday will also be Military Appreciation Night at Red Bull Arena. The first 15,000 fans that enter Red Bull Arena will receive a free koozie, courtesy of Bayer. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster or Fevo, where $3 of every ticket sold will be donated to K9s for Warriors.
