The New York Red Bulls announced the addition of left-back Andrew Gutman, on a season-long loan. The Hinsdale, Illinois native arrives with experience at the college-level, USL Championship and MLS.
Last year, Gutman played 21 games with FC Cincinnati, 15 of those as a starter. According to Opta, Gutman finished the 2020 season with 95 duels won, 17 interceptions and 34 tackles.
In 2018, Gutman won the MAC Herman Trophy, which is awarded to the best college soccer player in the United States. He finished that season with 11 goals and nine assists in 23 matches played and led the Hoosiers to a semifinal appearance in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
