Aurelien Collin is dealing with a case of plantar fasciitis, according to Head Coach Jesse Marsch.
Collin was forced to leave the New York Red Bulls' game against the Portland Timbers in the 27th minute due to the injury.
"We've got to figure out a way to get him fit, get him sharp and get him back," Marsch said following the game.
According to the Hospital for Special Surgery, "plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of a thick band of tissue called the plantar fascia that runs across the bottom of the foot, connecting the heel bone to the toes."
Collin has appeared in nine games for New York this season, starting seven times. He was subbed on late in New York's 3-1 win against Orlando City SC on August 12.
