New York Red Bulls Head Coach Jesse Marsch updated the status of a few players after training on Tuesday.
Gonzalo Veron: The forward returned to training with the team on Tuesday, after getting some action on the field last week. Marsch said the team will be cautious with Veron and when he will see game minutes.
Mike Grella: The midfielder was back on the field on Tuesday and is "close to being fully fit," according to Marsch, and said they will monitor him day-by-day to see how he feels and when they can escalate his training.
Michael Amir Murillo: The Panamanian was not on the 18-man roster on Saturday after getting a "weird cramp" in New York Red Bulls II's game on Friday night. "It wasn’t anything that anyone was overly concerned about," Marsch said.
Marsch also said that they are monitoring training minutes for Bradley Wright-Phillips and Fredrik Gulbrandsen, trying to keep them both fully fit for match day.
