After being featured in the MLS Team of the Week and as the league's Player of the Week, Luquinhas won the fan vote for MLS Goal of the Week with his perfectly placed chip against Toronto.
Since his first appearance for New York against Minnesota United on March 14, Luquinhas has been a spark plug for the Red Bulls offense.
In 18 total appearances across all competitions, he has seven goals and five assists.
The Brazilian midfielder followed up his performance on Saturday with another goal against New York City FC that helped the Red Bulls advance to the semifinals of the U.S. Open Cup.
