HARRISON, N.J. (May 16, 2019) – New York Red Bulls II will look to keep their three-match unbeaten streak alive when they travel to face the Tampa Bay Rowdies on May 18, with kick-off set for 7:30 p.m ET and can be seen on ESPN+.
NYRB II are coming off a 1-1 draw against Ottawa Fury FC, which saw midfielder Jared Stroud score the equalizer in the 92nd minute. Following Stroud’s tally, he has recorded four goals and three assists this season.
NYRB II and the Tampa Bay Rowdies will face off for the first time this season. The last time these two clubs faced each other, it ended in a 2-2 draw at Al Lang Stadium. NYRB II have the advantage in series history with a 2-1-1 record against Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay are tied for first place in the USL Championship standings with 20 points. They most recently defeated Nashville SC, 1-0, on the road, with Juan Tejada netting the game-winner. The Rowdies are currently on a 10-match unbeaten streak and are the only team in the league that have not lost a match this season.
Following Saturday’s match, NYRB II will return home to take on North Carolina FC on Friday, May 24, with kick-off set for 7 p.m. ET.
