HARRISON, N.J. (July 8, 2019) – New York Red Bulls II will head on the road to face Bethlehem Steel FC on Wednesday, July 10, with kick-off set for 7:30 p.m. ET. The match can be seen live on ESPN+.
NYRB II are coming off their second straight 1-1 draw against Ottawa Fury FC. NYRB II midfielder Kyle Zajec equalized the match and scored his fourth goal of the season in the 55th minute. The draw puts NYRB II on a three-game winless streak.
Earlier this year, NYRB II defeated Bethlehem Steel FC, 4-0, at MSU Soccer Park. Zajec scored a brace, which were also his first two professional goals. Forward Mathias Jørgensen added one off a penalty kick and the Steel recorded an own goal. NYRB II holds the all-time series lead with a 5-3-1 record.
Bethlehem Steel FC were defeated by the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC on July 4 at Highmark Stadium. They currently sit in 11th place in the Eastern Conference and have a 2-6-3 record at home.
Following Wednesday’s match, NYRB II will host Atlanta United FC 2 for the second-meeting of the season between the two clubs on July 13, with kick-off set for 5:00 pm. ET.
