At Yankee Stadium: NYCFC leads, 3-2-0

HARRISON, N.J. (Aug. 20, 2018) –The New York Red Bulls (15-6-3, 48 pts) and New York City FC (14-6-5, 47 pts) clash in the final 2018 regular-season New York Derby on Wednesday at Yankee Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET with coverage on FS1, FOX Sports GO and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish on TuneIn.

New York Red Bulls Radio goes live at 6:30 p.m. ET with Honda Countdown to Kickoff, hosted by Matt Harmon. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play broadcast, beginning at 7 p.m.

The midweek tilt between the Red Bulls and New York City FC will decide the 2018 New York Derby. RBNY took the first match, 4-0 at Red Bull Arena on May 5, while NYCFC earned a 1-0 victory at Yankee Stadium on July 8. The Red Bulls, who have lost their last three at Yankee Stadium, will look to buck their losing trend at the baseball stadium, while looking to give NYCFC their first loss at home this season (10-0-2).

In the midst of a three-match road trip, the Red Bulls seem to be unfazed away from Red Bull Arena. New York, who owns the second most road victories this season at six, are unbeaten in their last three matches (2-0-1) and four of their last five (3-1-1).

Daniel Royer, once again, is finding his scoring groove during the Summer months. Royer, who rattled off six goals in four matches last season during the Summer, has scored six goals in the last six matches, including two braces in the previous three games. The Austrian winger recorded his ninth and tenth goal of this season against Vancouver to tally back-to-back seasons with at least 10 goals.

The Red Bulls return to Red Bull Arena for back-to-back matches, beginning with D.C. United on Sunday. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET with coverage on FS1, FOX Sports GO and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish on TuneIn.
