(Aug. 28, 2018) – The New York Red Bulls (16-6-4, 52 pts) take their five-match unbeaten streak into a mid-week tilt against the Houston Dynamo (7-11-7, 28 pts) on Wednesday at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG, MSG GO and New York Red Bulls Radio in English and Spanish on TuneIn.


New York Red Bulls Radio goes live at 7 p.m. ET with Honda Countdown to Kickoff, hosted by Matt Harmon. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play broadcast, beginning at 8 p.m.




Wednesday’s match will be the fourth game in 12 days for New York. During this current five games in 15-day stretch, the Red Bulls are unbeaten with a 1-0-2 mark. New York opened up the stretch with back-to-back road draws against Vancouver (2-2) and NYCFC (1-1) before coming home and defeating D.C. United, 1-0.


Not only has New York had success against the Western Conference this season, but the Red Bulls have not lost to the Dynamo in eight matches at RBA, owning a 7-0-1 mark. New York has been able to defend Red Bull Arena against Houston and eight other MLS teams without giving away all three points. Along with Houston, New York has not lost at Red Bull Arena to Atlanta, Colorado, Dallas, LAFC, Minnesota, Montreal, New England, San Jose.


Despite it taking 16 league matches between goals, Kaku made his tally count against D.C. United as it was the eventual game winner in the 56th minute. New York’s Young Designated Player has tallied four goals in league play, all of which have been game winners. Alongside his four game-winning goals, Kaku has also recorded four game-winning assists.
