HARRISON, N.J. (June 16, 2021) –The New York Red Bulls (3-4-0, 9 points) look to extend their three-match home winning streak against Nashville SC (2-0-5, 11 points) on Friday. New York and Nashville battle for the first time in league history on Friday night. The Red Bulls enter the match with a 3-1-0 mark at home this season, tallying all of New York’s nine points this season. Nashville comes into Friday’s match being the only unbeaten team left in the Eastern Conference and earning nine points in their last five matches (2-0-3).
The Red Bulls have won their last three matches at home, which most recently includes a 2-1 victory over Orlando City SC, who was unbeaten coming into the match and had only conceded two goals in their previous six matches. New York will look to extend their home winning streak to four matches for the first time since 2018, which ran from August 5 to September 22 with wins over LAFC (2-1), D.C. United (1-0), Houston Dynamo (1-0), and Toronto F.C. (2-0).
Forward Patryk Klimala made his first career MLS start in the win against Orlando City and recorded his first professional assist. Midfielder Caden Clark, who has doubled his goal total from last season with four, is seeking to record a goal in his fifth straight home match.
