MATCH PREVIEW, pres. by Toyota: New York Heads to Stade Saputo to Face Off Against CF Montreal in Midweek Matchup

The New York Red Bulls (8-4-6, 30 pts.) head to Stade Saputo to face off against CF Montreal on Wednesday, June 19. This will be the 26th overall regular season meeting between New York and Montreal with the Red Bulls holding the advantage with a 13-10-2 mark. The Red Bulls will be looking for their first result in Montreal since August 31, 2022. CF Montreal enter the match on a four-match unbeaten streak and have posted a 2-2-3 mark at home this season. Montreal have allowed 35 goals this season, which is the most in the Eastern Conference, while New York have scored 29 goals this year, which is the second-most in the Eastern Conference.

Goalkeeper Ryan Meara recorded his second shutout of the season in New York’s 0-0 draw against Nashville SC on June 15 at Red Bull Arena. Meara has only allowed one goal in 270 minutes played this season. He has posted 19 career shutouts across all competitions in his Red Bulls career, which ranks fourth place in franchise history. Meara has recorded two wins in two career appearances against CF Montreal.

Following Wednesday’s match, New York will host Toronto FC at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, June 22 for Fireworks Night presented by Audi.
