This will be the 26th overall regular season meeting between New York and Montreal with the Red Bulls holding the advantage with a 13-10-2 mark. The Red Bulls will be looking for their first result in Montreal since August 31, 2022. CF Montreal enter the match on a four-match unbeaten streak and have posted a 2-2-3 mark at home this season. Goalkeeper Ryan Meara recorded his second shutout of the season in New York’s 0-0 draw against Nashville SC on June 15 at Red Bull Arena. Meara has only allowed one goal in 270 minutes played this season. He has posted 19 career shutouts across all competitions in his Red Bulls career, which ranks fourth place in franchise history. Meara has recorded two wins in two career appearances against CF Montreal.
