MATCH PREVIEW, pres. by Toyota: Red Bulls Host D.C. United in Second Leg of Atlantic Cup on Saturday Night

The New York Red Bulls (9-4-7, 34 pts.) host rivals D.C. United (4-8-7, 19 pts.) for the second leg of the Atlantic Cup on Saturday, June 29 at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish, and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via TuneIn, the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.

Jake Zivin will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Taylor Twellman on the English side, while Sammy Sadovnik will have the play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Diego Valeri on the Spanish side. This will be the 90th overall regular season meeting between New York and D.C. United, with United holding the advantage with a 37-35-17 mark. The Red Bulls are currently on a 12-match unbeaten streak across all competitions at home, including being unbeaten in their first nine home matches to begin a season. New York are the only Eastern Conference team that remains unbeaten at home and have posted three-straight wins against D.C. United at home. The Red Bulls are currently on a seven-match unbeaten streak across all competitions against D.C. United.

Midfielder Lewis Morgan is set to return from international duty with Scotland, where he made his first career appearance at a UEFA Euro on June 23 against Hungary. Morgan became the third player in franchise history to play in a EURO match as an active member of the New York Red Bulls. The Greenock, Scotland native has recorded nine goals and four assists in 16 matches played this season with six of his goals coming at Red Bull Arena. Morgan tallied a goal in New York’s 4-1 win against D.C. United on May 15.

Following Saturday’s match, New York embark on a two-match road stand, beginning with a battle against Philadelphia Union on Saturday, July 6 at Subaru Park.
