HARRISON, N.J. (May 30, 2019) – Unbeaten in their last four, the New York Red Bulls (6-5-3, 21 pts) hosts Real Salt Lake (6-6-1, 19 pts) on Saturday at Red Bull Arena. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG, MSG Go, and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
Following the final whistle of Saturday’s match, there will be a fireworks show on the field.
New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 6 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Ernesto Motta will carry the Spanish play-by-play, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
New York and Real Salt Lake have each held serve at their respective home stadiums in the all-time series. The Red Bulls hold a 5-1-4 record at home and are unbeaten against RSL in the last three matches at RBA. New York has not allowed a goal at RBA to Real Salt Lake in 188 minutes.
The Red Bulls continue to pick up momentum after a slow start, going unbeaten in the last four matches (3-0-1) and winners in five of the last seven matches (5-1-1). New York has tallied three league clean sheets during the successful stretch, whereas they had not recorded one in the first seven MLS matches. The Red Bulls four-match unbeaten streak is the third longest active streak in MLS.
New York has seen production from almost every player that is on a first-team contract in league play. Of the 29 New York players, 26 players have seen action on the field, which is the most in MLS for a single team. Alongside minutes seen on the field, New York is tops in the league for the number of players to contribute offensively. Nineteen of the 24 field players have tallied a goal or an assist, which includes 15 different goal scorers and 16 different assist makers. New York has had six different players tally a game-winning goal.
