HARRISON, N.J. (April 17, 2019) – After snapping their three-match losing streak, the New York Red Bulls (1-3-2, 5 pts) conclude their two-match road stint against the New England Revolution (1-5-1, 4 pts) at Gillette Stadium. Saturday’s match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on MSG, MSG Go and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
Coverage for the New York-New England match on MSG begins at 7 p.m. ET with Honda Red Bulls Game Night. Steve Cangialosi will have the primary play-by-play responsibilities and will be alongside Shep Messing and Michelle Gingras.
New York Red Bulls Radio begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with Countdown to Kickoff, presented by Honda, hosted by Matt Harmon and Steve Jolley. Ernesto Motta will have the Spanish play-by-play, beginning at 7 p.m.
Saturday’s match will be the 73rd league meeting between New York and New England and the 38th time in Foxborough, Mass. during league play. The Red Bulls have had recent success at Gillette Stadium, owning a 2-4-0 mark in the last six matches. Prior to New York’s 2-0 win at Gillette in 2014, the Red Bulls were 4-18-7 when visiting the Revolution. The last five matches in New England have been decided by one goal.
The Red Bulls concluded their first back-to-back league road games in 2019 and are scheduled to do it three more times. New York picked up one point at Sporting Kansas City and tallied at least three points in four of six back-to-back road trips, while finishing with a 6-3-4 mark in 2018. The Red Bulls are 0-1-2 away from Red Bull Arena with draws at Columbus and Sporting Kansas City and a 1-0 loss to Chicago.
Brian White, a 2018 MLS SuperDraft First Round pick, made an immediate impact in his first MLS match of 2019, scoring three minutes after being subbed in for Bradley Wright-Phillips against Sporting Kansas City. Prior to Sunday’s match, White needed just 55 minutes of USL Championship action to score his first goal of 2019 against Nashville SC on March 24. The Flemington, New Jersey, native has tallied two goals on two shots in 161 minutes across all competitions (MLS/USL).
New York returns to Red Bull Arena for five of their next six matches, beginning with expansion-side FC Cincinnati on April 27. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. ET with coverage on MSG, MSG Go and New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn.
