The New York Red Bulls will battle New York City FC on Thursday, August 3 at Red Bull Arena for a Round of 32 matchup in 2023 Leagues Cup. Vanzeir has recorded five goals across all competitions, which is the most by a single player for New York this season. Defender John Tolkin assisted on both goals and moved his total across all competitions this season to six, which is the most for the club. Tolkin currently ranks first in 2023 Leagues Cup in successful crosses with nine.
Following Thursday’s match, the winner of the matchup will go on to face the winner of the Philadelphia Union vs. D.C. United match.
