The New York Red Bulls lost to New York City FC, 5-1, on Saturday night at Red Bull Arena.

Dante Vanzeir scored RBNY's lone goal, finishing off a short cross from Lewis Morgan. The play came together after Noah Eile headed a corner kick service over to Morgan, who put it through traffic. Vanzeir was able to find the back of the net through a crowd of defenders.

Vanzeir scored his fourth goal of the season and the sixth MLS goal of his career.

The Belgium international has scored a goal in back-to-back matches and has contributed three goal contributions in his last three MLS matches.

New York City scored twice early, going up 2-0 in the first eight minutes. They carried a 4-1 lead into halftime and scored a fifth goal in the second half.

New York will head on the road for a two-match road trip, beginning with a match against Toronto FC on Wednesday, October 2 at BMO Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.

RBNY are back home on October 19 for Decision Day vs. Columbus Crew.
