The New York Red Bulls have stretched their home unbeaten streak to 11 matches, playing to a 2-2 draw against CF Montréal on Wednesday night.

"It was a good game," Head Coach Sandro Schwarz said. "But at the end, it's 2-2, and it's two less than if we play like the first 60, 65 minutes. Then you want to win. Then you want to go home with three points and that's it. And today, it's a bad feeling for us."

A first-half goal from way out off the boot of Wiki Carmona snuck in the bottom corner of the goal to put New York up early. Dylan Nealis, who caused the turnover, earned the assist.

Carmona has tallied three goal contributions in his last six MLS matches.

Following a lengthy lightning delay during halftime, Montréal leveraged a free kick to bang in an own goal to even up the game.

Cameron Harper took a corner midway through the second half that sailed through the players and off a Montréal player and into the back of the net.

Moments after the restart, Sean Nealis was issued a red card and Montréal a penalty kick following VAR. Montréal converted to draw even.

"It’s super frustrating, I think you could look on both sides of the ball," Dylan Nealis said. "Offensively, we need to put our chances away early and kill teams, and then defensively, we’re giving away silly goals. I think the past few games kind of show it, but we just have to be better. Me personally, I take a lot of pride in defending so I’ll always look at that first. We’re just giving away cheap goals, cheap fouls around the area. We have some reflecting to do because we have to start turning these ties to wins."

The Red Bulls became the second team in franchise history to go unbeaten in their first 11 home matches to begin a season (2012).

New York remains the only unbeaten team at home this season in MLS.

New York will continue at Red Bull Arena to face FC Cincinnati on Saturday, July 20 for Marvel Night.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
