The New York Red Bulls routed Toronto FC, 4-1, on Wednesday night.

The Red Bulls extend their unbeaten streak against Toronto to twelve matches across all competitions. RBNY are unbeaten in 5 straight matches at BMO Field.

"I'm very proud for the whole team," Head Coach Sandro Schwarz said. "I'm very proud of the whole staff, especially the last days, was not so easy, especially in our building, our facility, but we find the right key to bring, to come back with our mentality, to come back, also to have the focus for the next game. It's important that we have the feeling for these three points."

New York converted two penalties -- with Emil Forsberg and Lewis Morgan scoring from the spot -- paired with John Tolkin and Elias Manoel scoring from the run of play.

Toronto was able to convert a penalty of their own for their lone goal.

Forsberg converted midway through the first half, following Morgan being taken down in the box as the TFC defender went to his knees, blocking and tripping New York's no. 9.

"I think it was a massive performance for us as a team," Morgan said. "We needed that tonight. I’m not going to say it was perfect, but I think after we had a tough loss, it was just important to put a strong performance on for 90 minutes and try to get a win and we done that in a difficult place. Toronto had to win tonight, and we knew that so there is things we can definitely improve, but it was a big step forward."

Tolkin scored his goal, as he was left open as New York put together a good set of passes, with Morgan playing Tolkin into space. Tolkin finished, putting the ball through Sean Johnson and into the back of the net.

Morgan took and converted his penalty after Cameron Harper was cleared out in the 18-yard box.

Morgan finished the night with a goal and two assists. He now has five career goals against Toronto FC.

Morgan became the 13th player in franchise history to record 20+ MLS goals and 10+ MLS assists for the club. He's the sixth midfielder in franchise history to accomplish the feat.

Elias Manoel finished out New York's scoring, combining with Morgan to win the ball in their own half and go for a combination leading Manoel into space, 1-on-1 with the goalkeeper. Manoel, with Johnson coming off the line, calmly put the ball into the bottom left corner of the goal to ice the match.

New York now head to Mercedes-Benz Stadium to face off against Atlanta United FC on Saturday, October 5. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
