MATCH RECAP, pres. by Provident Bank: Red Bulls, Revs Split Points

Gustavo Bou equalized with his fourth goal since his arrival in MLS, Matt Turner made a dazzling save of Bradley Wright-Phillips in second-half stoppage time, and the New England Revolution held on for a 1-1 draw against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday night at Red Bull Arena.

Bou's leveler, coming in just his sixth MLS match, kept the resurgent Revs within three points of the Red Bulls in the crowded Eastern Conference standings. But it opened up the possibility for other teams to overtake them based on results from games played later Saturday.

Marc Rzatkowski's belter gave the hosts a deserved first-half lead. But Red Bulls head coach Chris Armas will rue the other chances his side missed before the break against the team coached by former mentor Bruce Arena.

There were Red Bulls chances after the break. Still, Wright-Phillips must've thought he'd scored when he reached Michael Murillo's cross in the dying moments. Instead, Turner reacted to deny him at the near post.
