New York Red Bulls midfielder Dennis Gjengaar has been selected to Norway U-21 National Team roster for their upcoming March friendly, the federation announced today.
Gjengaar, 21, is in his second season with the Red Bulls, where he has made 26 MLS appearances and has recorded two goals and one assist. Gjengaar made his first appearance this season on March 8 against Atlanta United FC. The Horten, Norway native scored his first goal of the 2025 season in New York’s 2-2 draw against Orlando City SC on March 15. He scored his first career MLS goal in a 3-0 win over Toronto FC on June 22, 2024.
The midfielder has featured for Norway Youth National Teams at various levels including U-15, U-17, U-18, U-19, and U-20. He will be seeking his first appearance with the U-21’s. His last appearance for Norway U-20 was on November 17, 2023, in a 2-1 loss over Portugal U-20’s.
Gjengaar and Norway U-21’s will face off against Czech Republic U-21 on Monday, March 24 at Pinatar Arena Football Center.
