HARRISON, N.J. (March 19, 2024) - The New York Red Bulls have announced the promotion of Kari Cohen to Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel. In her new role, Kari will lead the club’s legal team and oversee the human resources department.
“Our entire organization is extremely proud and excited for the well-deserved promotion of our teammate, Kari Cohen,” said Marc de Grandpré, President, New York Red Bulls. “During her four years with the Club, Kari has continually displayed great leadership of our legal affairs, while positively steering our team’s culture and strategic direction.”
Since 2020, Cohen has overseen all legal matters for the New York Red Bulls, Red Bulls II and Red Bull Arena. She has played an important role in negotiating agreements across every facet of the organization.
During her time with the Red Bulls, Cohen has been named to both the prestigious Sports Business Journal “Game Changer” and NJBIZ “Forty Under 40” lists.
Prior to joining the Red Bulls, Cohen served as Vice President & Deputy General Counsel at BSE Global, parent company of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center, where she spent nine years negotiating and drafting contracts for all BSE properties, including those in the areas of venue acquisition, sponsorship, programming, and hospitality, as well as overseeing BSE’s Government Affairs department.

The club also announced the hirings of Patricia Yanez, Director of Marketing and Claire Czerniuk, Director of Game Presentation, Entertainment and Field Marketing.
Yanez will oversee all facets of marketing from strategy to execution including brand marketing, digital marketing, merchandise and social media. Previously Yanez spent over 12 years with the Disney Media & Entertainment Division and ESPN Global Film & Original Content Department.
Czerniuk will oversee all facets of game presentation, entertainment and field marketing for the club. Czerniuk has over 10 years of experience from her time with several NBA and NHL teams.
