New York Red Bulls defender Raheem Edwards has obtained his U.S. Green Card and is now a U.S. permanent resident. Edward will not occupy an international roster spot on New York’s roster.
Edwards, 29, is entering his 10th season in MLS and his first with the Red Bulls. Edwards has made 177 career MLS appearances and has recorded eight goals and tallied 28 assists. In 2024, Edwards played for CF Montreal and made 25 MLS appearances and recorded five assists.
Edwards and the Red Bulls will open up the 2025 MLS season on Saturday, February 22 against FC Cincinnati at TQL Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET with coverage on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV in English and Spanish, and New York Red Bulls Radio in English via the New York Red Bulls app and NewYorkRedBulls.com.
