HARRISON, N.J. (July 21, 2016) – This Saturday’s New York Red Bulls II match against the Charleston Battery has been moved to the Red Bulls’ facility in Hanover, the club announced today. The venue was moved in order to accommodate the IFAB Workshop for Video Assistant Referee Experiments, hosted by Major League Soccer at Red Bull Arena this week.
Kickoff on Saturday is set for 4 p.m. The match is being offered to fans for free, with gates opening at 3:30. Last season NYRB II played one match in Hanover, a 2-1 win against Saint Louis FC on August 2, 2015.
NYRB II is currently 11-1-5, and are riding an 11-game unbeaten streak. New York Red Bulls Homegrowns have led the way for the club, with Brandon Allen scoring a team-high eight goals, and Derrick Etienne Jr. contributing four assists. Ryan Meara has recorded seven shutouts this season, while the team has 10 clean sheets in 17 games.
