Relationship makes SeatGeek the club’s Official Fan Ticket Exchange
New York, NY and Harrison, NJ (June 1, 2017) - The New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer announced today that SeatGeek will become the club’s Official Fan Ticket Exchange.
SeatGeek’s mobile experience will assist in making it easier than ever for all Red Bulls fans to buy or sell tickets to and from other fans on their smartphone in just a few taps, use their mobile phone to gain entry to the stadium, and easily transfer tickets to friends via a text or through the SeatGeek app.
"As fans increasingly look to the secondary market for tickets, we are happy to partner with SeatGeek to bring the best experience for fan-to-fan ticket purchases," said Amy Scheer, Chief Commercial Officer, New York Red Bulls.
Once fans find a seat they like, they can check out in just two taps, and use their phone to scan into the match at Red Bull Arena.
If fans can’t make it to a match or have extra tickets, they have the option to resell Red Bulls tickets with multiple payout options, including through a Venmo account. Red Bulls fans going to a match with friends can also easily send a ticket to another supporter through the SeatGeek app or via text message for free or, if they choose, with a charge.
“The Red Bulls offer one of the best fan experiences in sports, and we’re thrilled to be working with a team that’s fantastic on and off the pitch,” said Russ D’Souza, co-founder, SeatGeek. “We know SeatGeek will help make it easier than ever for Red Bulls fans to discover and get to the games that they love, and we’re excited about what the future of our partnership will bring.”
