HARRISON, N.J. (September 14, 2023) – The New York Red Bulls will host Noche Latina on Wednesday, September 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Red Bull Arena as they take on Austin FC. The night celebrates Latino culture and heritage through soccer, music, dancing, food, and outreach to local communities. The match will be held during Hispanic Heritage Month, observed from September 15 to October 15, in recognition of the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans in the United States.
The BULLevard will open at 4:30 p.m. with Latin music and dance highlighted throughout the evening. NJSalsa will be in attendance for free bachata and salsa classes in the CrossBar from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Best known for their birria tacos, local authentic Mexican restaurant Speedy Wey will be on-site with their food truck. In addition, The NYC Mariachi Inc. “El Mejor Mariachi de Nueva York” will be in the BULLevard from 6 pm-7 pm.
Leading up to the match, the New York Red Bulls will host an event with the Association of Latino Professionals For America (ALPFA), a national nonprofit organization that provides professional development workshops and career resources to its participating members. The pre-match networking event will be held in the Plaza Lounge from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
At halftime, Latin fraternity and sorority Lambda Sigma Upsilon and Lambda Tau Omega will take the stage for a step and stroll show. Both Greek letter organizations have rich histories in NJ, having chapters originating on college campuses and extending across the country. They continually strive to uplift and support students in their academic endeavors.
