The New York Red Bulls look to build upon their first victory of the season this weekend as they hit the road for their first meeting of the season against Columbus Crew SC.

Here are some numbers to know ahead of the Red Bulls’ first clash with Columbus.
- 2-1-2 – The New York Red Bulls are 2-1-2 in their last five matches at MAPFRE Stadium (formerly Columbus Crew Stadium). In the Red Bulls’ last match at Columbus on April 26, 2014, New York came away with a 1-1 draw thanks to a Bradley Wright-Phillips goal, assisted by Lloyd Sam.
- 2 – Lloyd Sam has now scored two goals in two games. First, a MLS Goal of the Week nominee strike versus Sporting Kansas City, and the next, delivering the dagger against Atlantic Cup rivals D.C. United. Sam has now scored half the amount of goals (4) he totaled in 2014.
- 4 – Strike partners Lloyd Sam and Bradley Wright-Phillips have scored a combined four goals against Columbus Crew SC in their last three meetings. In their initial matchup with Columbus, Wright-Phillips buried a shot assisted by Sam, while on July 12, Wright-Phillips scored the opening goal against Columbus. As for Sam, he finished 2014 with a total of two goals and one assist against Columbus. His goal on Oct. 19 was the lone tally for New York in an eventual loss, 3-1; while his strike on July 12 helped RBNY bury the Crew, 4-1.
- 20 – Luis Robles recorded his 20th shutout in his New York Red Bulls career in RBNY’s first victory of 2015 against D.C. United, 2-0. Robles is second on the Red Bulls all-time list in shutouts, five behind all-time leader Tony Meola (25).
- 180 – Damien Perrinelle has started and played all 180 minutes of the Red Bulls’ two matches at center back, which is as many regular season games as he played all of last season. Perrinelle also started and played all four CONCACAF Champions League matches for the Red Bulls in 2014, but has now led the defense to a 1-1 draw at Sporting Kansas City and a shutout versus D.C. United.
