- In a back-and-forth match, the New York Red Bulls and D.C. United finished level at 3-3 on Wednesday night at Red Bull Arena.
- New York remains in sixth place in the Eastern Conference at 12-11-7 with 43 points. The Red Bulls hold a four- and five-point lead over seventh-place Montreal (39 points) and eighth-place New England (38 points), both of whom New York has a game in hand on.
- The Red Bulls stretched their unbeaten streak at Red Bull Arena to six-straight in MLS play (3-0-3) and seven overall (3-0-4) across all competition.
- On a well-executed transition into D.C. United’s defensive third, Tyler Adams scored his first MLS goal of his career in the 19th minute to give New York an early 1-0 lead.
- In extra time of the first half, United’s Zoltan Stieber capitalized on a free kick to level the match, 1-1 at half.
- With miscommunication amongst the Red Bulls’ backline, Patrick Mullins slid behind and finished near post to give D.C. a 2-1 lead in the 70th minute.
- After a failed clear by a United defender, Adams picked up the loose ball inside the 18-yard box and finished to the far post for the equalizer in the 74th minute.

- Sacha Kljestan tallied the secondary assist on Adams’ first goal to raise his career total to 82. Kljestan moved into a tie for 10th all-time in MLS history with Javier Morales.
- Kljestan’s assist gave him 49 over a three-year span, which is tied for the second most with Marco Etcheverry’s three-year span total (1996-1998).
- Not only was it the 170th-straight start for Luis Robles, but he became the franchise leader for both field players and goalkeepers in games played at 170.
- Connor Lade tallied his second assist of the season and seventh of his career on Adams’ first goal.
