The New York Red Bulls take another step towards kickoff on Monday when they travel to Orlando for preseason training. The Red Bulls will spend 12 days in Orlando, return home for a week, and travel to Bradenton, Florida for a second session, including the IMG Suncoast Pro Classic tournament.
The team will depart for Orlando on Monday, January 26, and train through the following Friday, February 6. The session will include two closed-door scrimmages, against the University of Southern Florida on Sunday, February 1, and NASL side Jacksonville Armada FC on Thursday, February 5.
After returning home for a brief stay, the team will travel to Bradenton on February 16, where they will train and take part in the IMG Suncoast Pro Classic, an eight-team tournament comprised of MLS and international clubs. The teams will are separated into two groups, and will play round-robin, with the top teams advancing to a play-off round. The Red Bulls will face Denmark side HB Koge on February 18, Oklahoma City Energy of the USL Pro league on February 21, and Toronto FC on February 25. Other MLS teams in the competition include Philadelphia Union and Columbus Crew SC.

After the conclusion of that competition, the Red Bulls will return home on March 1 to make final preparations for the MLS regular season, which will kick off on Sunday, March 8 in Kansas City. The fifth season of soccer at Red Bull Arena opens on Sunday, March 22 when New York takes on D.C. United.
