The New York Red Bulls kick off a three-game homestand on Saturday against D.C. United at 7:30 p.m.
Red Bulls forward Bradley Wright-Phillips and Fredrik Gulbrandsen are ready for it.
“It always seems to feel easier at home,” Wright-Phillips said. “I know, for sure, we’ll get chances. It’s up to us to finish them.”
New York is 2-3-1 on the season, with a win and a draw coming at their two games at Red Bull Arena.
“It’s always easier to play at home,” Gulbrandsen said. “It’s going to be good for us.”
Head Coach Jesse Marsch said the team is hoping to build off an encouraging game against Orlando City SC.
“We’ll come back home and take more steps forward and collect points,” Marsch said. “Now we’ve got to build on that.”
