With the New York Red Bulls locked into their postseason positioning, Head Coach Jesse Marsch said he expects to rest players in the regular season finale.
The Red Bulls will face off against D.C. United in the sunset game for Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium.
"I think you can expect some resting of players," Marsch said with a smile after his team played to a scoreless draw against Atlanta United FC on Sunday night.
Marsch said the team will rest players with their sights set on the Knockout Round game.
"I think that you can expect that we will make sure that we are sharp and fit and ready to push in the playoffs," Marsch said. "But I think try to use it as a time to make sure that whatever the turnaround is, that we have a team in that midweek knockout game is ready to fly, ready to fly."
The Red Bulls will face off against one of New York City FC, Chicago Fire, Columbus Crew or Atlanta United FC, with final seeding to be determined on Decision Day on Sunday, October 22. All games on Decision Day will kick off at 4 p.m.
