- Second-half goals by Bradley Wright-Phillips and Daniel Royer helped the New York Red Bulls rally past the New England Revolution, 2-1 Saturday night at Red Bull Arena.
- New York improved to 6-6-2, while New England fell to 4-5-4 on the season.
- The Red Bulls recorded their 80th regular season win at Red Bull Arena. New York continues to support the best home record in MLS since 2010, with the most home wins (80) and points (260).
- New England grabbed an early lead in the ninth minute. The Revolution were given a penalty kick opportunity and Lee Nguyen finished for his sixth goal of the season.
- New York responded in the 47th minute as Kemar Lawrence received a pass towards the end line and sent a cross towards the box. Lawrence’s pass was mishandled by New England goalkeeper Cody Cropper and Wright-Phillips sent in the equalizer with a back-heel shot.
- The Red Bulls then converted on a similar play to their first goal as Felipe set up the play by sending Lawrence into the box. Lawrence took the pass in stride towards the end line and sent a cross through the Revolution defense for Royer to finish in the 74th minute for the eventual game-winner.
- Wright-Phillips built upon his team lead in goals with his sixth of the season and 75th career regular season goal. Wright-Phillips' last four goals this year have been scored at Red Bull Arena, including the last two matches.
