Panama, Michael Amir Murillo and Fidel Escobar Fall to USMNT

New York Red Bulls defenders and Panama internationals Michael Amir Murillo and Fidel Escobar dropped their World Cup Qualifier against the U.S. Men’s National Team, 4-0, on Friday night.


Murillo started and played the full 90 minutes of the match while Escobar played 45 minutes as a second-half substitute.


In the 48th minute, Murillo picked up a yellow card and will serve a one-game suspension in Panama’s next match for yellow-card accumulation.


Christian Pulisic opened the scoring in the eighth minute, before Jozy Altidore added two goals of his own before the half.


In the 63rd minute, Bobby Wood sealed three points for the USMNT with the fourth and final goal of the match.


Panama closes out World Cup Qualifying on Tuesday, October 10 against Costa Rica at 8 p.m. ET.


The U.S. Men’s National Team finishes qualifying in Trinidad & Tobago on October 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
