The New York Red Bulls’ latest signing, Florian Valot, ended 2017 on a tear for New York Red Bulls II, proving to be a vital part of the Red Bulls II attack.



In his second year with the team, Valot finished amongst the leaders in multiple statistical categories, including goals, appearances and starts.


Valot also earned a nomination for the USL Player of the Month award in September, when he scored four goals and collected one assist in four games.



Here is how Valot’s stellar 2017 campaign breaks down by the numbers:


2.14: In the months of September and October, Valot notched a spectacular 2.14 PPG in the last seven matches of the USL regular season. Valot scored seven goals and added one assist in those seven matches.


7: The Frenchman finished second on the team with seven assists on the year, trailing only teammate Vincent Bezecourt (11).


10: Valot netted 10 goals on the year for Red Bulls II, just three behind Stefano Bonomo’s team-high 13 goals. Valot led the club in goals in September with four goals in four matches.


56: Valot proved to be a critical part of the creative portion of the Red Bulls II attack this season with 56 key passes on the season, per Opta. The midfielder finished second on the team with those 56 key passes, behind only Vincent Bezecourt’s 59 key passes.


2,585: The Monaco native will look to rest his legs this offseason after he played 2,585 minutes on the season, second-most on the team. Valot also earned 28 starts on the year and appeared in 32 matches.
