HARRISON, N.J. (January 30, 2019) – New York Red Bulls goalkeeper Ryan Meara departed training camp on Tuesday. Meara underwent successful surgery on Wednesday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan on a torn medial meniscus in his right knee.
Meara, a Yonkers, N.Y. native, is expected to return in four weeks. The 28-year-old is entering his eighth season with the Red Bulls after being selected by New York in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.
