Cherif Dieye, who netted 19 goals during his four years at the University of Louisville, was selected by the New York Red Bulls as the no. 15 pick in the 2020 Major League Soccer SuperDraft presented by adidas.
Born in Dakar, Senegal, Dieye’s college career highlights include: USC All-South Region Second Team, All-ACC Second Team in 2019 and ACC Championship All-Tournament Team, All-ACC Third Team in 2018.
The midfielder finished the recent 2019 season with 18 starts, seven goals and six assists.
His goalscoring ability and vision will be assets to observe as he continues his development at the Red Bulls.
