HARRISON, N.J. (July 30, 2020)– New York Red Bulls II midfielder Kyle Zajec suffered a fracture in his left foot in Sunday’s match against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at Red Bull Arena, the club announced today.
Zajec will undergo surgery in the coming weeks and will miss the remainder of the 2020 season.
The Westport, Connecticut native played and started in all four matches for the 2020 season, including recording his first professional assist against Philadelphia Union II on July 22. Zajec captained the club for the first three matches of the return to play, which began on July 17.
