The New York Red Bulls new center-back, Andrés Reyes, arrives at the club after playing for Atlético Nacional and Inter Miami CF.
The 21-year-old defender has played for Colombia’s Under-20 and U-23 National Teams, most recently he was part of the U-23 side that participated in CONMEBOL’s Pre-Olympic Tournament.
At Atlético Nacional, Reyes worked with former RBNY Head Coach, Juan Carlos Osorio.
When asked what it meant to work alongside him, Reyes said: “I feel very privileged, thankful to God to have the opportunity to have a coach like Juan Carlos Osorio. He has a lot of experience, I’ll learn a lot from him, and I’ll try to take as much advantage as I can to become an elite player.”

Other notable Colombian defenders that started their careers at Atlético Nacional and went on to play abroad include Tottenham Hotspur’s Davinson Sánchez and Monterrey’s Stefan Medina.
This past season, Reyes made 13 starts for Inter Miami CF, totalling 1,101 minutes. Two of those 13 starts happened in the MLS is Back Tournament.
