Club Name:

Ironbound Soccer Club

Mission Statement:

The purpose of Ironbound Soccer Club shall be the development, promotion and regulation of an organized youth soccer program. Ironbound Soccer Club will provide the highest level of play, training and competition in premier events on a local, regional and national level, while offering an opportunity for every player regardless of skill level to develop at their appropriate pace, and at the lowest price.

Player Development Philosophy:

Ironbound Soccer Club was established for the specific purpose of developing players capable of receiving college scholarships based on their playing ability and academic achievement. However, realization of these goals must be accomplished within the proper framework by instilling character, self-esteem, confidence, and sportsmanship within the young athlete.

Providing a competitive youth soccer program whose goals are to achieve state, regional, and national soccer championship titles, which has produced several players which have gone on to a professional career.

Achievement of these lofty and worthwhile objectives within the appropriate environment can only be reached through the mature behavior and the exemplary conduct of the coaches, parents, and officials of the Club. Their relationship with the players must be of the highest ethical and moral standards and be based upon just principles that ensure equitable treatment prevails in all circumstances.

An aggressive desire for victory combined with the procedural and graduated development of soccer skills through exceptional coaching and advanced training techniques is of paramount importance. Nevertheless, realization by all that soccer remains only a game is an inherent aspect of the philosophy of the Club that must always be recognized.

“We are honored to be an inaugural member of this historic program which we believe is the best model for the optimum development of players in the United States. By establishing a strong working-relationship with long established community-based programs, Major League Soccer is broadening its base of youth players training and competing at the highest level. This environment is sure to produce better players as well as strengthen the relationship between MLS clubs and the communities they serve. We look forward to expanding our existing relationship with the New York Red Bulls as an Academy Affiliate member club. We thank New York Red Bulls and MLS for the trust and confidence they have shown in our organization!”

– Alberto Coutinho, Chairman, Ironbound Soccer Club

“Ironbound Soccer Club's goal is, and will always be, to provide their players with the opportunities to play at the highest level. We feel as a club being an MLS affiliate of the Red Bulls will provide the proper exposure for our players to advance to the next level.

Partnering with the Red Bulls, in this venture, gives our players and staff, access to additional opportunities, not normally available. As a founding member of the Red Bulls MLS affiliate program, Ironbound SC looks forward to continue to develop players to perform at their highest levels.”

– John Soares, Director of Operations, Ironbound Soccer Club
